This is an 18th century cottage in the village where Charlotte Corday lived. It is a very quiet location and a paradise for nature lovers where biodiversity is well-preserved (many birds, butterflies and wildflowers). In the garden, you can observe aquatic wildlife in the pond (unfenced) and watch little damselflies along the river that borders the property. For keen naturalists, your hosts can provide, by arrangement, a moth trap (moths must be released again, of course) There are several wildlife field guides both in French and English, in the cottage. At night, the location is perfect for stargazing with very dark skies. The nearest town, Vimoutiers, is 7km distant with a supermarket and shops. There is an inflatable paddling pool available, for small children, on hot days, and a selection of toys and games available.
